Most of the systems now support memory modules over 4GB. Is there any requirements for my O/S if I want to install a module of 8GB or more?

There are the 32bits and 64bits operating systems. Only the 64bits O/S can detect memory capacity larger than 4GB. Please check the information of your platform to see if it could support 8GB or higher memory capacity. We suggest that users install 4GB or less on the 32bits O/S for general operations.
